Superfit Hero Body Positive Fitness Trainer Kim Walker Behrends

Kim Behrends is a strong woman who found her love for fitness in the 7th grade when she joined her high school swim team and later, water polo, where her coach encouraged her to lift weights. Long story short, she fell in love! Kim worked at the pool as a lifeguard and swimming instructor and eventually became the aquatic director. This happened in the late 80’s just as the aquatic fitness boom hit, which led to additional aquatic teaching positions. In 1997, she was given the opportunity to move to Texas where she was hired as the aquatic director for a large gym and eventually became a personal trainer. After several years, Kim had to give up her fitness career. After several more years, her calling for fitness hadn't completely subsided and she was drawn back in.

"I have been blessed with the talent and passion for helping others with their wellness/fitness journey! After some time off from the fitness industry, getting back into fitness as an overweight, over-aged, women was intimidating, but I was encouraged by my clients. I took several months to really look deep inside myself, and then made the decision NO LONGER allow people with negative attitudes to keep me from helping others!"

Growing up being judged by her mother and sisters gave Kim a false sense of who she was. "Looking back, I wasn’t fat…I was strong!" Kim firmly believes that we can choose to allow others to make us doubt ourselves, or we can choose NOT to! She chose to help others gain confidence, strength, pride, and wellness. "We all have beauty and strength, some of us just need encouragement to see it in ourselves!"

You can train with Kim at the Hill Country Memorial Wellness Center in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Certifications: ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, AEA Certified Group Exercise Instructor

We pride ourselves on a superior fit. Use this chart to find the right size Superfits for you. 

Bottoms: It's all about the hips! Measure your hips at their widest point using a soft measuring tape. Between sizes? If your body is hourglass shaped, size down. If you are more apple or box-shaped, choose the larger size. 

Bras: Measure your bust at the widest point. If you are between sizes and have cup size A-D, size up. For cup size DD and above, size down.
